Hilton will open a new resort in the Maldives in 2027 with Coco de Mer Maldives, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
Scheduled to welcome its first guests in June 2027, the resort will become the group’s fifth property in the archipelago, joining Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa and SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton.
It will also introduce Hilton’s Tapestry Collection brand to the Maldives for the first time.

Located in North Male Atoll, Coco de Mer Maldives is one of several new Maldives resorts scheduled to open in 2027. Set on a man-made island approximately 25 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, the future Hilton resort will offer an easily accessible island escape close to Male.
Coco de Mer Maldives. What We Know
Coco de Mer Maldives, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will be a 75-key resort designed to combine premium island experiences with the independent character associated with Hilton’s Tapestry Collection.

The resort will feature a selection of dining concepts, a wellness centre dedicated to relaxation and rejuvenation, a sea sports centre, pickleball courts and several other recreational facilities.
Detailed information about the accommodation categories, restaurants and overall design has not yet been revealed.
A New Resort Close to Male
Coco de Mer Maldives is currently under development on a reclaimed lagoon plot in Kaafu Atoll, west of Male. Its location, only 25 minutes from Velana International Airport by speedboat, will allow international visitors to reach the resort without a domestic flight or seaplane transfer.
The project was previously presented as an independent 80-key resort developed by Gulf Craft Service Centre Maldives. Its signing with Hilton brings a new identity, an updated capacity of 75 keys and a confirmed opening scheduled for June 2027.
Coco de Mer Maldives Location

The First Tapestry Collection Resort in the Maldives
Tapestry Collection by Hilton brings together independently designed hotels, each retaining its own identity and connection to its destination while benefiting from Hilton’s global distribution network and Hilton Honors loyalty programme.
Coco de Mer Maldives will become the collection’s first resort in the archipelago and Hilton’s fifth operating brand in the country.
Hilton currently operates four Maldives resorts under four different brands :
- The legendary Conrad Maldives Rangali Island
- Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi
- Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa – Hilton latest opening, in 2022
- SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton at CROSSROADS
The arrival of Coco de Mer Maldives will further expand Hilton’s presence in the destination, with a new resort positioned as a more accessible premium alternative within the group’s Maldives portfolio.
Coco de Mer Maldives is included in my complete list of new Maldives resorts opening in 2027.
