Lily Beach Maldives Diving and Snorkeling

SNORKELING

Lily Beach Maldives House Reef :
Lily Beach is blessed by a dazzling House reef. The Resort is by far one of the best for snorkeling in Maldives.
The island is located on a very narrow reef with nice slopes and big walls, reachable directly from the beach and the Water-Villas. The snorkeling is rapidly amazing, ideal for beginners and/or confirmed according to the locations.
The house reef has eight entry and exit points and offers endless opportunities for snorkelers due its location in a channel. It also acts as a natural barrier for the lagoon providing calm and clear waters perfect for beginner training.
What can you expect to see on the reef ?
The reefs location and specifications allow some extraordinary meetings: stingrays, eagle rays, morays, turtles, lion fishes, parrot fishes, scorpion fishes, frog fishes, cleaner stations, reef sharks just to mention a few.
During the southwest monsoon season (May-Nov) Mantas and with a bit of luck Whale sharks can also be seen !

PAY ATTENTION : As usual, take a moment to discuss with the Dive Center before going to explore the outside walls! Currents can be dangerous and professional advices are gold.

Snorkeling Program :

Drift Snorkeling: Complimentary activity ! Let yourself be drifted along the reef and just watch the scenery passing by! This exciting snorkel trip is especially made for experienced snorkelers.

Night snorkeling: As usual, night snorkeling is a promise to live a memorable adventure. During the night, from dusk on, new marine species can be watched and give thrilling emotions.

Coral Garden snorkeling Trip: This amazing snorkeling is included in the All Inclusive Plan. This is great opportunity to discover the unique coral plates that endlessly surround the island. Don't miss it, it is just amazing.

Snorkeling Safari: The most common snorkeling activity in the Maldives. This is probably the best snorkel experience for beginner and advanced with easy paths and countless chances to watch fishes and meet beautiful species such as turtles, dolphins and more...

DIVING

South Ari Atoll has some of world’s best dive sites and Lily Beach is just at an amazingly close range (starting at 10mmns) from them. The Resort has about 50 dive sites in its area, from easy to difficult levels, with or without current, thilas, giris, farus or outside reefs like channel dives, and wrecks. The Dive Center covers the entire south half of Ari Atoll. Close to the island itself, 16 dive sites are directly available with max 25 mns boat trips .
From May to December, whale sharks and manta rays can be seen almost anywhere on the east side of the atoll.
Lily Beach is also known to be perfectly located to dive and snorkel with mantas and sometimes whale sharks.

THE DIVING SPOTS

Throughout almost the whole year, all the southern tip of Ari Atoll is famous for whale sharks (full day trips to White Sands Beyru, Whaleshark Point, Maamigili Corner , Diffushi Outside and Bodu Finolhu Thila). Famous shark points are available all year round : Haba White tip reef sharks can be seen almost everywhere and during the whole year and Mantas in various areas according to the season.
