A new resort and residential project is preparing its opening in the Maldives : Samana Ocean Views, with interiors by ELIE SAAB.
Located in Haa Alifu Atoll, Maldives’ northernmost atoll, the future resort is scheduled to open in 2027. It will be one of several major Maldives resort openings combining luxury hospitality with branded private residences.
Samana Ocean Views Maldives. What we know
Created by Samana Developers, a Dubai-based luxury real estate company, Samana Ocean Views will feature architecture inspired by the movement of the ocean.
Curved structures, sculptural roofs and flowing lines have been designed to blend into the island’s tropical landscape.
The accommodation collection will include one-bedroom beach villas, one, two and three-bedroom water villas, and two-bedroom garden apartments.
Each residence will feature interiors by ELIE SAAB, private outdoor spaces and, according to the current plans, its own pool.
Samana Ocean Views Maldives will also offer several restaurants, including Japanese dining, elegant overwater venues and beachfront experiences.
The resort plans further include a spa, water sports centre, swimming pool, children’s club and several spaces dedicated to entertainment and relaxation.
Samana Ocean Views reflects a wider transformation taking place across the Maldives. International designers and luxury property developers are increasingly entering the Maldivian hospitality landscape.
A Rare Hospitality Project by ELIE SAAB
Elie Saab is a world-famous Lebanese fashion designer known for his elegant haute couture creations. His brand now also creates luxury furniture and interiors through ELIE SAAB Maison.
Although he has collaborated on several luxury residential developments worldwide, the fashion house is only beginning to enter the hospitality sector.
Its first official hotel, POST Hotel & Residences by ELIE SAAB in Andermatt, Switzerland, is scheduled for completion in 2027.
Samana Ocean Views will therefore be one of the brand’s earliest resort-style projects, bringing the signature ELIE SAAB aesthetic to the Maldives through furniture from the ELIE SAAB Maison collection.
Samana Ocean Views Maldives, Location and transfers
Samana Ocean Views is located in the beautiful Haa Alifu Atoll, Maldives northernmost atoll and one of the nation’s most remote regions.
Far from the busier resort islands around Male, this northern setting is known for its much quieter and largely untouched surroundings.
Transfer arrangements have not yet been announced.
Having flown in the region, expect a 70 minutes flight by seaplane from Male. Domestic flights followed by speedboat transfers may also be possible.
