Maldives Seasons | The first Rain Showers

Day 21. SOUTH MALE ATOLL.

The sun was shining and the sea was quiet. But in the far end, we could see that something was coming….First winds strongly rised and the rain shower came…This is the beginning of the rainy season in Maldives.

Rain showers are common at this time of the year. Monsoons are changing, skies become dramatic and the weather can change in a matter of minutes.

The rainy season goes generally from June/July until September. This is the ideal season for surfing as the swell gets high and powerful. Windsurf and hobbie cats lovers will also have their best times !
